Foodish faux pas?

I'm interested to know everyone's feelings regarding instant coffee. Am I a total luddite for finding this concept irresistibly easy, not to mention cheap!? It seems to me that coffee does not actually taste good anyway (because 'acquired taste' is honestly just code for 'gross'), so we might as well make this easy on ourselves and save some money while we're at it. Call me a recessionista, but I'm off to duane reade to buy me some instant coffee & easy mac.

Please don't actually call me a recessionista though.

OKAY i am now actually drinking a cup and instant coffee is indeed disgusting. however, i look forward to acquiring a taste for it.

Wow I really miss coffee. Italians must have hair on their chests solely from drinking ESPRESSO at all times.

I just want an EFFING Caffe Americano, people.

Also, I'm pretty upset that we've only managed two posts in the past week. For shame, SPFers. For shame.

General Foods International Coffees are halfway decent. You are on your own with the mac and cheese.

Oh and instant coffee is pretty much all my grandpa drinks because he can make it while he drives(he also sleeps while he drives but claims its only with one eye). I guess a taste can be acquired so if you can endure it the rewards will come.
